Default 427 cobra's

Anybody know these cars? They are usually blue with white strips... They are also kits I believe..

Who makes a good kit for one of these to build? I am thinking about purchasing one..

Thanks a lot.. I noticed there was a company locally (odessa) Everett-Morrison Motorcars...

But they build their chassis out of stainless steel and the control arms.. I don't want that!

history:
Shelby Cobra 427 information, specifications, history, and images.

Factory 5 is probably the best affordable cobra component car.

Here's how mine is coming a long.

Yeah they can defenatly be done affordibly. I forget the "Kit" cost, but it think it's around 12 grand. If you have that, and a donor mustang and a couple other odds and ends, you can build one of these.

For me, it's a complete Non-donor build. all brand new, and many upgrades, so yeah i wouldn't exactly call it affordible in this case.

Here's mine so far (note, the wheels are only rollers, when everything is done, the proper measurements will be made to determine the exact widths and offsets needed.

It pretty much is! What you don't see is the HUGE tubing underneath. people get the wrong impression that they're weak, but the frame is much thicker than my truck!

Very sweet Mark.

I like that coupe they make as well, I think it's the 65.

Could you imagine putting a stroked windsor with a huge turbo in one those things making about 1000 to the wheels?

1200hp / 2100lbs = total domination

Nothing on the street could touch that.

I wonder if anyone has tried that. I've heard of some big block cars and turboed/supercharged small blocks...not sure if anyone has gotten real crazy with them though (1000hp +).

Awhile back I plugged those numbers into one of those et calculators. 1200hp and 2100lbs gets you about high 7s, low 8s at 170-180 mph. The et would never happen but I bet you could get close to the mph.
