yeah, its TR, get used to it, and my woops your motor blew thing was a joke, but like i said, with certification you will more likely make more money and have a better chance of getting hired VS. someone not certified

my uncle is a mechanic and he fucking hates it now, he comes home to his wife n kids tired as balls, back hurting, fingers all swelled up n shit, but hey if u think ill love doing it for the rest of ur life go for it man. go to UTI not MTI by the way. jus remember dont base ur decision on wat u wanta do now, think long term about all ur choices. for me I'd never me a mechanic i love working on cars(when i have one lol) but doing it everyday would b a bitch. G/l w/ all your choices

If you go to any school for it, go to a local technical school...not sure whereabouts everyone exactly is, but something like PTEC. You'll get pretty much the same education without having someone's hands around your balls trying to squeeze more money out of them. UTI, WyoTech...they just rely on advertising, thats where their money goes. They might very well be good schools, but they arent in buisness to teach, they are in buisness for your money

Little bit of a condradiction, ya think?

There is no way in hell that MTI even comes close to comparing the knowledge you'll earn at a school like UTI. For christs sake, the teacher doesnt even own a car!

Compare one teacher at a local tech school, at a school that teaches a broad category of subjects, to multiple teachers going in depth on each certain task. I really dont care what you do, its your choice. Yea it costs money, but in the end im sure its worth it.

What better way to get your money than to have a decent reputation? Again, I havent been even close to any other campus besides PTEC and SCTI (where I currently go) but I do know that UTI spends rediculous amounts on advertising and luring in more people. They keep those people by having a decent program and with that money can also afford pretty damn good equipment and teach with the best stuff. You also have to be completely willing to learn, despite what you think you know

Just because they want your money doesnt mean they can teach you an incredible amount while doing an excellent job doing so.

uti is alot of money and in the end doesnt really matter where you get ase certifired unless you open your own business. I know someone that grad wyotech and has a job as someone that went to mti. dont become a mechanic for a career

Why do you try to make that sound like a negative thing?

I dont get it. You cannot sit here and tell me that A graduate from MTI/SCTI will have the same knowledge and equipment abilities as a UTI grad.

I agree you should have some kind of plan before signing up at a school like UTI, but shit. If somebody doesnt have/ or want to spend the money then they can sit their lazy ass in the same town they grew up in and go to the local tech school. But don't make it something its not.
