Becuase it would suck to have another car payment...plus a boat payment, apartment rent,boat mantience, plus other bills...im sure you can relate unless you got lots of money..plus if that POS decides to break that would be more money...Im just a waiter at a restraunt, and i got to school....oh yeah, paying for school plus books....I WOULD LOVE to have truck, but its not realalistic for me.

If you can't afford to play, don't. Corey's right. Don't get yourself upside down in debt because you want a boat. Just borrow a friend's boat, you'll get tired of it quick.

I killed my tranny in a VW jetta towing a sailboat that weighed 500 lbs. I would not tow a motorboat - an 18 foot will weigh at least 2000 lbs.

That being said, a stick shift is typically better for towing - the transmission is not hunting for a gear, and you can choose a lower gear and rev it up to keep from dogging the engine.

My friend had a boat and moved to Cali..I loved going out on the boat..I doubt ill get tired of it...but you are entitled to your own opinions..and im sure I can afford a boat...well my price limit is about 5k, and ive seen boats go for around that, my friend that moved to cali sold his boat for 6k and it was a nice boat...(or I thought it was nice enough for me). I just empty'd my saving account on my new computer..(new Imac 2k) it won't take me long to get that account back up there....but yes, if it comes down to where I must have a truck and none of my friends wanna tow the boat..then I won't get it, no big deal...Im just looking for my next toy..

lol..Im just gonna keep laughing at everyone who keeps posting...im pretty sure I know how to run my life...I simply asked for people's opinions on my car towing...I found out, DON"T FUCKING TOW WITH YOUR GOLF CART!....and thats great. because I dont wanna break my car....and if my friend can afford a boat im sure i can....thank you for stating your opinions on my financial status...
