okay now it's my turn. i'm really a mopar guy but when it come to a GT500 and a brand new Z06 or even a C6, i'm going with the mustang cuz of two reasons. 1) corvettes are every where and i'm not downplaying them, cuz they are great beast that can whoop some serious ass, but i want to see something else whoop some ass) and 2) even though the Gt500 is a 3900lb fat car, but it's still going to whoop some serious ass for the power it has, and even how heavy the car is, and plus under $47K is good for me with the power u get. but's still all good cuz i still love Vettes too.

I think the new Mustangs are great looking and yeah they could go 11.99 with the right driver off the showroom floor. But there are Mustangs everywhere too, probably much more than Corvettes. Though more expensive by 20-30 grand, there is already a guy running a 100% bone stock C6Z06 11.20's at 127+ mph in the 1/4 mile. That is how fast a 500hp car should be if it didn't weigh 2 tons.

vette all day...the gt500 at the end of the day it will never be the historic icon it was 40 years ago. i feel they should have left it that way, i agree that it will sell just because of the shelby name. in all honesty i dont think carrol shelby had much say in the car, it would not weight 4000lbs if he did.

Very True and well stated, cuz that's the only problem i have with the new GT500 if it weighed like 3200lbs it would be a rocket without a doubt!!!!

that's really up to u but if i was in your shoes, i would keep the GOAT cuz u don't see a lot of GTO's around. i like having something that a lot of people don't have so it would be better to kep it, knowing who knows how many people are going to buy one.

well, you wont see as many GTO's on the street. but then again, you wont see many gt500's on the street. GTO is probably better on gas. but they arent as fast as the 500's are they?

thats a hard choice. id say the GTO is the best comparison car for the gt500 right now. comparing it to a c6 still kinda sucks to me, they just arent in the same genre of cars.

honestly id go with the gt500, just because my dad always had fords when i was growing up and he still has a f-350, and a e-350 box truck. but the end choice is always up to you. which would you rather be seen around town in?

I think $47k for the new Shelby is a fair price, however I think it's going to be a good while before they actually sell for that, if ever.
