Default car was repo'd :(

My car was repo'd a week ago and they wouldnt let me take any of my custom parts off of it. Its bullshit because I had arrangements with the bank and had wrote them a check for $800 to cover the last of the amount it was behind and bring the payments current, they took the check, deposited it into my checking, came and picked up the car. I am really pissed and thinking about getting a lawyer. I had a $800 headunit in the car that the car stereo shop told me I could ride around with it for a week and if I wanted it then I could pay for it after a week, now I am stuck paying for it. Its BS they say they are going to auction the car and the difference they dont make on the car I have to pay back, they wont be getting shit from me as they wont make any more or less with the 10k worth of parts on it.

sucks but you were shopping for $800 headunits and had $10k in mods but couldn't keep up with payments?

good luck with the legalities

It says in there I had payed the last $800 I was behind. The mods had been on the car awhile. I was out of work for 5 months and ran out of money I had saved. Got around 1,400 behind got a new job and started paying it back, only had 800 left so I paid that and then went that weekend to buy a headunit. The car was repo'd 3 days later with no warning. I had arrangements with the bank to make that $800 payment and they said everything was fine. I might just goto the auction, buy it back and tell the bank to kiss my ass when I roll out of there with it for 8k and they are wanting the rest of their money

This my friends is why you buy your car before you modify it. IMO you deserve it, you should have been puting the money in to owning the damn car instead of trying to make someone elses car faster.

There are several lessons fro you to learn from this.

1) Don't live beyond your means
2) Save. Save. Save.
3) Always keep a few guns loaded, chambered, and ready for unwanted guests like them. If you woulda come out barrel first with an AR-15, they would've driven away and you would've had plenty of time to remove your parts before they showed back up with the cops and forced you to turn the vehicle over.

so the moral of this story is, don't get behind on payments and be smarter than the bank. You can't always rely on what they tell you, and if it does go to court they will find a way around it anyways.
