It seems like all of the cool people left recently, which would explain the lack of cool features and tech articles. I picked up an old copy of SCC a while back and couldn't believe how much better the writing and technical content was, and how much more of it there was. It's only gotten worse since then.

I agree that GRM is the best car mag I've read in recent times. Actually, thanks for reminding me- I've been wanting to subscribe. I think I was holding off because one or another of the auto-x sanctioning bodies offers a free subscription with membership... is it Nasa-X? I figured I'd just take advantage of it whenever I can get out to an autocross.

 

Grassroots Motorsports = GRM (I didnt know either until asked what it was on another board like 2 weeks ago lol.) I like makes and models but you're right about those models, some of those chicks look like they picked them fresh out of the Amp or Prana on a Thursday. lol

 

i think magazines have exhausted there coolness and put down anything, people still buy em so they will still put down anything. Write them and tell them how shitty they are they will change after enough bitching

 

Everyone now and then someone comes up with something cool. It just should happen more often. I forget which import mag it was this month/last month...but they invited a bunch of "tuner" cars out to throw down some lap times. Then they had a professional driver drive each of the cars to try and beat the "team's" time. All but a wrx got their asses handed to them by the professional driver. Pretty interesting how the professional driver drove all the cars within 30mins combined. Things like that I find interesting, but it doesn't offset the lack of spex for all the other cars in the mag.
