So I go to the store and look at car magazines. Take a look at things like Car and Driver, Road and Track, and Motor Trend. They all have great stastics and performance spex of the cars(ex. Slalom, 1/4, etc). But I do NOT want to be reading how Editor A doesn't like the stitching of the steering wheel and how Editor B doesn't like how much slop is in the shift linkage. So I pick up things like Super Street, Import Tuner, and Sport Compact Car (even my favorites of European Car and Performance VW). Now it's almost just the opposite. They give a great breakdown of what's in the motor and what not, but hardly ever do they disclose the performance spex. I'm sure if someone is putting 10k-30k in his/her car, could atleast afford a g-tech pro if the magazine is too cheap to do it. Are there any magazines out there that actually have real numbers for the MAJORITY of the "tuner" cars they publish?

 

I hear you there I've seen alot of nice cars with alot done to them and I wonder how much power they are putting down, it sucks when you turn to the last page and the specs are their age, email, address, and build time...

 

embarassed about the dollar to performance ratio would be my guess.

all the good mullet magazines focus on all aspects, unless it's a museum car

 

And I'll bet R&T and Motor Trend all use atmospheric corrections and all sorts of other adjustments when posting up times.

Thats one thing I like about SCC, the times the car ran and the numbers it puts down on the dyno are non-corrected, shitty Irwindale cali air or not.

 

Grassroots by far my favorite magazine. and for some reason i like mustangs and fast fords...who knew. but super street and import tuner are gay. they used too have gay ass riced out civics and shit, and now there jumping all on the drift/jdm rwd bandwagon.....gay.

 

Well, aren't you on the drifting RWD "bandwagon"? All they are doing is sticking with the times. I mean, come on; Rice was once consitered cool, so that is what they focused on. So now that Drifting and JDM are "in", that is what they focus on. What the hell do you expect them to do? Stick with rice forever? Next time think before you make a retarded post.

 

. i really wouldn't mind so much what they post in there magazines as long as they actually gave good writeups and didn't include there gay little inside jokes and nutswinging. and that is why i read grassroots and even mustangs and fast fords, hell even offroading mags. because i like to see the fabrication on those trucks and like to actually see good writeups no matter what vehicles they are. so why don't you think next time you make a retarded post.
