bitch! aren't motor swaps illegal..maybe the police take your esar out
gutting your catalytic convertor is illegal too
douchebag
so it aftermarket exhaust..so i dont really give a shit

why the hell would i sand it for?
alcohol cleans the surface really good..so the tint spray sticks evenly and looks smooth..
and remember..you are painting with something semi-transparent...not opaque!
sand you headlamps and see how they come out! i dont want foggy/flat tails

so far..there is no chipping or flaking..anyways the clearcoat protects it

Anyone have a copy of the law that says smoked tail lights are illegal?
I would be interested in the statute number, and the exact wording
of the law..............and any test cases or previous decisions.-Bob

Default Please sticky this one!

This was an awesome DIY article!

Photos were great as a follow up. It gave credibility and eliminated the fear
that a reader might be illegal.....and it looks awesome on a dark car!

I hope the admins will sticky your post, and the few others that actually contributed with a "how-to-do-it" reply.-Bob

Even if it is illegal who cares, don't post. I'm sure everyone knows pretty much modifying your car in any way is going to get you in some trouble. Ill be taking it one step further when I do this. I already only have 2 tail lights on my 240. Why not smoke em out a little and see how it looks. Thanks for the write up. Looks good.

so they aren't illegal?
they still emit a red color, and it says

display or reflect a red color.

so as long as they display the original color intended, i don't see why there is any problem, i think it looks awesome man, good job
