You guys must not be thinking very far...if all of our money goes out to Japan because they sell more and make a better car, then we wont have any money here, thus no one buying American cars, thus no jobs to build the American cars and nobody able to drive them.

You know why they've been gaining? Because they sold their Mitsu stock and finally have some badass cars and chassis (with help from Merc Benz) that actually sell.

I forgot to add earlier that the Taurus did have a V8 once....the newer SHOs

My statement was half sarcasm. If I acted my age, the car probably still wouldnt be running, but at least it works right now. Hell if I can find a way to upload video to a computer (Movie Maker seems to be the suck) then I can upload me getting it running again.

Point is I'm purposefully not keeping it running right now. This is the car that I'll keep for the rest of my life (or so help me god, try the damn'st to!) and with the current state of "project car-ism", I'd rather rely on a seperate car for daily transportation, as I doubt it in its current state will last as long as I would like...otherwise I've never had anything go wrong that wasnt dirt cheap or easy as hell to fix with it; its been quite an excellent first car.

 

i was just making a point, cause your always talking about how toyotas are the best and most reliable cars ever yet yours are always broken. fact is all cars break no matter what company made it, and the country where the car was made isnt better then another country, working on cars everyday for many many years you realize this and find it funny when people who have owned one or two cars there whole life try to say "imports are better" or something to that extent.....

 

Both have their advantages. I'll be honest; A/C systems using an orfice tube and accumulator are much more simple and I prefer them over a TXV and receiver-driver system. Its just that because of the labor unions, domestic companies have had to skimp out on whatever they remotely possibly could to save money to make up for the parasitic loss caused by the unions.

You are a tool to the nth degree man.. and have absoulutely NO clue as to the depth of the talent that NASCAR engineers have..
Put the euro/F1, etc engineers on the same playing field (no electronics, carbd, pushrod, etc) and not have practically unlimited budgets.. or flip it and give your NASCAR engineers more to work with...

Micheal Waltrip is a HOMO... Seriously... Like he's such a fair weather johnson.. Have fun with Bill Davis Racing... DEI is better with Martin Truex Jr anyways in the Napa Car... I swear Micheal Waltrip is Nascar's biggest sellout.... AND HE WILL NEVER SEE A top 10 finish this season..

 

Nascar on these "primative" engines Run cars with RESTRICTOR Plates at almost 200 mph all day long.. Lets See Ferrari try that.. Give nascar forced induction, Fuel injection, OHC's, and 12 cylinders and they it would be like driving a top fuel... around a oval
