I vote the v-10, then the LS7, then the 6.1L

Now we got all the domestic guys bashing each other.
How much do you make in a month? Cause I just talked to my Parts MGR and he said probably a month, so did you want that in chrome or non chrome

As for the Cadillac Sixteen, 16 cylinder motors with 1000hp have been done... by Volkswagen in the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. Quad turbos in that car, too.

Since no one has really mentioned any 4-bangers, you can order a 1000hp capable Ecotec longblock from GM, supposedly. This is probably as close as you're going to get to "4-banger", "stout", and "production" being in the same sentance. Not completely on topic, but I thought I'd just throw that out there.

I could put it on order myself. And ain't no way it's gonna show in a month or even two, if it show's period. Hell I orderd a 360/390hp motor for a customer on 11-24-05 by 12-24-05 I was told it would be another 3-4 weeks. Wanna bet what they would have said then? I ended up buying one from another dealer who only had it because their customer grew tired of waiting and cancelled it. The only people that have first dib's on any performance crate engine are the big dog Mopar Performance Dealers. We have ordered numerous Hemis and never got the first one. I could get one in a week, but it wouldn't be from Chrysler.

Back on topic... My nut swinging ass still says V-10 Viper motor rules.

LS7 ENGINE! hands down it wins.

and for the kid saying 900hp 540 hemi they never had blown hemis in the daytona or chargers or anything from mopar back then and they wheren't 540ci the biggest was a 526 that was built for drag racing and there where only 2 built of its kind and it ran in the nhra super stock div.if u really want to get into the classic mucsle car wars i would take a 427zl1 over anything.they came from gm with a 425hp sticker on them but made over 500hp detuned from the factory and if u tuned it u where in the 800 hp range.

so to all have a nice day.

Fords 427 SOHC motor produced almost 700Hp and 700ft/lbs and spun to almost 7,000RPM in the late 60s early 70s. It was the most powerfull production motor you could buy in a car from a dealership until just a few years ago.

4G63, although it's supposedly about to reach the end of its life in the Evo. Evo X is supposed to be using a substantially different, all-aluminum powerplant. Have to see how that turns out.

LSx. They mix and match parts among all of them, might as well not specify just one. Since we're talking about tuner engines, the LS2, since it's the only one that comes in something reasonably affordable and sporty.

The 6.1 Hemis are supposed to be pretty good, not that I've researched them enough to know any details. They just need to put one in a real 2dr performance car, which I believe they are currently planning to do.

What kind of potential does the new 3v 4.6 have? The old single cam mod motors pretty much sucked, and hell, the dual cammers weren't that spectacular either, with the exception being the awesome blown 03/04 Cobra engine.
