Default Production engine comparison, get your ass in here!

In your opinion, whos building the strongest engines out there right now? Why do you feel that way? What engine(s) currently being produced do you feel offer the strongest platform to build apon?

Tell me what's going to be our next 2JZ's, and RB's. Current production only.

discuss!

6.1L HEMI 425hp and 420lb ft torque or the VIPER MOTOR the strongest and most powerful naturally aspirated motor that's not even moded for racing, by the way you can get the race moded crate motor via MOPAR but still naturally aspirated. The new LS7 is pretty much a race motor.

^ agree w. LS7, but if cadillac gets the wild hair up their ass then this beast = teh WIN!

Cadillac's Sixteen concept car, actually produced so it is in fact a motor out of detroit by Cadillac. 16 cylinder engine boasting 1,000hp. I'm sure with many more ponies left to be tapped.

How can you say that. THe C6 vettes are VERY streetable. What classifies it as a 'race' motor. Because it kicks ass!? GM is putting out some decent powerplants.

But if you're getting into concept cars, The ME4Twelve would eat this thing for lunch. A V-12 quad turbo super car.

Oh yah not a race motor, just race cam, crank, valves, block, heads, forged pistons, injectors but not a race motor, no way.

if the thing holds up to the test of time why not? When you buy a car wouldn't you rather that stuff be done by the factory rather than set out to buy those pieces yourself. They used quality parts and engineering so it allows them a higher output. Its no longer a race motor, it is a FACTORY motor.
