## TR Input...read!! ##
Okay, here I go...
I have only been here since April (as a registered user), but this site pretty much kept me awake all through high school. That said I have a few [positive] ideas. I have a slight idea as to how complicated making some of this site work is, so I applaud you all for making it a fully functionally website 24-hours a day.
With that out of the way here's my ideas. (If it's already posted, just consider this as me agreeing to it).
1. An "eBay finds" forum (for car related items only) would be really cool. It'd give a good laugh. However, if this ever became a reality, I think it would have to be a rule to provide screenshots due to the fact that the links don't work when the auctions are over.
2. The idea of an "Ask a Cop" forum is awesome. I remember that thread where the cop wanted to form an anti-street-racer club and it turned into like 13 pages of question, answers, and commentary. A forum devoted to [serious] questions for Law Enforcement to answer would clear up every issue from proper window tinting, to cerfews, to traffic violation/court questions.
3. The garages would be so cool if they were sperated out like the technical forums (i.e. American Iron, H/A, TRucks,...), or at least a "browse by make/model" feature would be cool too.
4. I say sperating the video post into seperate sub-forums would be great, could definatly cut down on re-posts, and would help it grow into a mini-site of it's own.
5. About the whole TR/TF thing...I see that it (TF) grows larger by the week and eventually it should be seperated, as I believe John mentioned, when the proper time comes. Keep up the great work to all for that incredible performance.
6. A vendor forum would be neat, but... isn't that what "classifieds" is about? I'm not positive about that, enlighten me if you could, just wondering. It would be a great idea none the less.
7. I think the How-to's should be seperated into their cooresponding make/model sub-forums, as I'm sure they are now, but a seperate "How-To" Sub-forum within GCC wouldn't be that bad of an idea.
That's all I have to say for now, I think this would all make it better, but I've only been here (activly) eight months. Take it or leave it.

I'll agree with GsEclipse02 on the Mitsu tech rules. I think we have a few to many when trying to find/sell parts. I don't know if that's just our mod, or if it's the site's policy.
I really like the idea of an "ask a coop" section. There seems to be a lot of questions reguarding laws. Having some final answers would be helpful.

As far as the split goes I am one of the people that is all for it since I see a lot of animosity towards TF from the die hard car people. Why ? I am not quite sure but TR is a automotive site and needs to stay that way.
As far as having a FFA type forum on TR, yes it will happen soon and as it has been said it will be heavily policed and without a lot of the ish that goes on in the TF FFA forum.
umm well my ideas would be:
1) there seems to be alot of general question coming from teens, adults, etc that are just getting into the whole car scene i myself being one of them, so a "how to" thing where you wont get flamed cuz lack of knowledge.
2) i like the idea of seperated the videos, car related, and non
3) umm and how bout a volvo section in the cars, because there is a couple of us with them, i just want to see volvo some where lmao
dont flame!

I think everything is fine but there should be a permanent link to TR/TF on the top because I hate having to click on 3 links to get to TR or TF I mean even if it was a little link in the top that would be great.

The only way a How-To forum would work would be if YOU, the USERS, would contribute to it... so that is an idea aslong as alot of you that are knowledgeable would like to help out
The Vendor forums will be changed and that will be announced some other day. There will be big changes coming up soon and that is all I am saying, and believe me I read through all the feedback you guys are giving me and it really helps alot. TR will be bigger and better...

I think the How-to is a great idea. I think the ask-a-cop is a good one as well, however to keep the "anti-police" people out of it, there should be a fee, sort of like the Champagne room for TF, this ensures that people will ask appropriate questions and perhaps keep a lot of drama out of it.

I think the 'ask a cop' idea is good for some of the younger people that get caught up in what they feel are BS tickets all the time. It can add a positive interaction with law enforcement if done properly and show that not every cop is an asshole while giving them the info they need before they go out and get a ticket for something that was avoidable. HOWEVER, in my many dealings through my life with traffic cops I have noticed that not all are completely knowledgeable on all the laws. While it is completely understandable as they are only going to remember the things they deal with on a day to day basis, it could lead to bad information... It would have to be someone who is really up on current law and willing to research the stuff they don't know rather than just improvise. In other words, it will be difficult to find someone to fill the ticket (pun intended)
As far as things I'd change, TR needs it's own off topic forum, I think that's been agreed on by most and it sounds like it's coming. I don't know that I would overly moderate it, perhaps just leave it at making sure participants also post in other areas of the site (to avoid the people joining just for the social aspect that turned FFA into the clusterfuck it was before). In other words, if Steve B wants to throw a party and carry on about it in the off topic forum, more power to him, but if someone's only posts are in the off topic forum asking where the party is this weekend, kindly show them the way to TF..............
