ok so i took my car there today and i had to listen to 2 hours of this moron trying to sell me a car when all i wanted to do is sell mine...he showed me the kbb on my car (18.5k) which is perfect..then the mechanic comes back and says "well its a nice car but there is a blemish in the paint" (some stupid nigg3r threw a bottle at my car while i was in the ghetto) and you can BARELY see the mark....well that was just enough to knock 2k off my car and he gave me the paper and said 16k right now..i told him to suck my sack and i left.....im soo fucking pissed right now...goddamnit....FUCK CARMAX!!!

If they buy your car for KBB what are they supposed to sell it for?

 

When I was trading in my WRX at Toyota, I went to Carmax to see if I could do any better. They actually offered me a grand less than the dealer! What a joke.

 

You bought a car from the dealer. that is why they gave you that price. Try to trade your car in to Toyota without buying a new one.

you should have just told them 17K and see what they say, if they say no, then you leave, doesnt hurt to ask.....

WOW, another I hate CarMax because I paid too much for my car that I really couldn't afford to begin with and now I owe to much money on it and on top of that I put aftermarket parts on it that my 12 year old sister said adds value to the car and I didn't get the RETAIL money that I wanted form CarMax's FREE appriasal thread. I thought we have seen every twist to this story but we now have a Racist I hate CarMax thread. It is a free appraisal, just say thank you for you time and try to sell it elsewhere if you don't like it.
