06 Civic or Mazda3i?
I need a turd to drive into the ground 100miles a day
I, for some odd reason, am in love with the 06 civic coupe. But for what you get it seems pricey. I can get an almost fully loaded Mazda3 4dr for around the same price as a barely opt'd Civic LX coup.
anyhow.
Anyone check out both? Pros, cons?

well why dont u hold out for the SI civic ? I wish I would have . I got the EX and i love it True the inside isnt so hot , but you could always buy your own seats and put in there if you want a leather look . Also 4 doors arent cool so get the 06 civic coupe . Plus all the parts for them are cheap and more easy to find

my boss just bought a mazda 3i 2.3l.
has leather interior, nice sound system and rides pretty well.
for the price the mazda is hard to beat...although i'd go with a new civic si if the payments are comparable.

Well, I'd only get the 2.0 Mazda3 4 door. It's the cheapest, and I had a 500hp Cobra, what's another .3 liters going to do, it'll still feel piss ass slow. I satisfied that motor craving two years ago. 
Next, I don't need the Civic to look cool. I don't want an SI, I'm buying a beater to drive into the ground.
I'm looking at the LX coupe, with mp3 player
Mazda and Honda both have 5yr/60k mile warranties. hm
Guess I need to go test them out and see what kind of deals I can get. Anyone reccomend any dealers?

I don't understand why the 5 door is so much more than the sedan Mazda.
if it was 5door vs civic I'd pick the 5 door anyday. I'd love to have a little wagon Matrix type of vehicle. That doesn't look like a Matrix.. I actually thought about the HHR for a minute but I'd like that extra 8mpg.
