its only illegal because it is illegal to use your high beams within 500ft of oncoming traffic, and 200 from the rear of another vehicle... Tapping your brakes however, is not illegal...

 

thats crazy...i would have made up an excuse..like it was an accident..thats f*ck'd up ...i would fight that in court.

 

^^^ thats only true if thats the statute he put down. if he told you it was for warning other drivers, ide definitly look it up. even if he put the right statute(if there is one?), ide fight it anyway. i HIGHLY doubt he'd show up.

 

Yeah I did get stopped going towards lumsden. I turned right towards providence and thats when he turned on his lights.I said, cant you just give me a warining? He said, Its not my fault your ignorant to the laws. What a dick. I flashed one car supposedly 3 times and he was right behind the car. These laws are getting alittle carried away. Statue 316.2397(7) someone look that up.......He said it wasnt a moving violation, but I was driving by.......and theres a stamp to where to pay it at and he marked plant city instead of tampa.

 

if it was at night say you were letting someone know their lights werent on.

or, for the future, dont worry about other people you dont know as much i guess.

 

Flashing your high beams, i would understand, but not tapping on the brakes, to get ticketed for letting others know of a speed trap.

i stopped flashing my high beams...now i just on/off my headlights...i have done that for some time now...
