Keep in mind a stock Elise runs 13s, so its quite a bit faster than stock. i have a subscription, my name is on the magazine i quoted.

quit making it easy for us domestic guys to make you import guys look stupid. did you read the title of the thread? its

i personally couldn't give a shit about handling. if i did i wouldn't have a harley or a land yacht. it's not that hard to make a muscle car handle, but for the amount of power most people want to put into them to drag/street race it's just not practical.

i dunno about the rest of you but i'm too ADD to deal with most sports or racing. if you can't pull ahead in a 1/4 mile then you've lost as far as i'm concerned. i like a race that's over in less than 30 seconds. that's pure adrenaline rush entertainment right there.

and no matter what you try to argue imports suck
when you've broken 6 feet and/or 200lbs they're just not big enough

Simply not true. I'm sure in twenty or thirty years we'll see old school civics with wings and exhausts done up in that nostalgic Fast & Furious style and full drift 240's running through the Barrett-Jackson auction pulling 6 figures. To me there are two groups of import cars, those that matter and actually may be collectable one day, and then the fast & furious disposable cars that will be about as collectable as a cavalier Z24......

You know, for someone that accuses others of being closedminded when it comes to automobiles, you sure as hell aren't willing to bend even a little in your attack on the American past time of drag racing. So, what kind of lap times have you been pulling at sebring lately?

Because the dumbasses at sport compact put it on the cover bragging that it went 12's.
