Keep in mind a stock Elise runs 13s, so its quite a bit faster than stock. The lotus, in no way, shape, or form, was ever believed, thought or otherwise considered to be a super star in the drag arena. Why it was even brought into this conversation is beyond me.

Its really so simple to pick on you guys when all you can do is build a car that does one thing well.

umm my car has coilovers on it, im a cheap set of springs and some used tires away from being right there.
you guys make it too easy.
heres your shovel
keep digging
not the greatest pic, but it does say 1/4-mile tech right below the lotus headline. BTW this mag does not focus on drag racing according to john
oh BTW, Thats my name on the subscription, know thy enemy.

i personally couldn't give a shit about handling. if i did i wouldn't have a harley or a land yacht. it's not that hard to make a muscle car handle, but for the amount of power most people want to put into them to drag/street race it's just not practical.
i dunno about the rest of you but i'm too ADD to deal with most sports or racing. if you can't pull ahead in a 1/4 mile then you've lost as far as i'm concerned. i like a race that's over in less than 30 seconds. that's pure adrenaline rush entertainment right there.
and no matter what you try to argue imports suck
when you've broken 6 feet and/or 200lbs they're just not big enough
