I don't talk shit. Sometimes I really wish I could, because I talk to people who say some really idiotic things about cars. It's just not my style. I nod and say "uh-huh" while thinking to myself "this guy doesn't know wtf he's talking about."

I just tend to let people think they know what they're talking about, like
when this one guy told me his neighbor had a C6 Z06(this was before it was
even confirmed). also the guy told me vettes are slow and only get 12mpg,
and the new ones have a LS4 motor

the fact is making a fucking car go straight fast doesnt require much at all...
if i wanted to do wheelies and go fast from a dead stop to a finish point i would get a big displacment car...
a z06 can handle soo well is simply because it has soo much shit from the factory to make it handle very well. I drove a z06 and all the traction controls are retard proof to not make good track times.
drag racing isnt real racing BTW...you may call it real racing, but its just about launching hard...racing on a real track requires finesse and not pure launching power and traction.

To answer the ORIGINAL question, import guys dont know how to talk shit because theyre immature when compared to the muscle guys. Not saying all import owners are 18yo douchebags, but the majority of import owners are young. Hence they have egos that they feel the need to protect. So when you even playfully rip on an import guy's car it can get out of hand easily if both parties dont walk on eggshells. The muscle guys are mostly older and know how to take a little joking. They can go back and forth knowing that the other person is joking with them, but still respects their car. Whereas an import owner would normally just claim that theyre car could walk the other persons'/they could beat the other person up etc.
Again this is in general. There are many exceptions on both sides. I have met my share of cool import owners and douchebag domestic owners, and vice versa.
And to respond to the whole SCC thing. Yes the cover is stupid, but the line below the "12 sec quarter-mile" does say "1.08g skipad". And about 90% of the article isnt about how fast the car ran the 1/4, but how well it handles. And all without another use of the word "insane".

I dont like to talk shit about other peoples cars, unless there a ricer...but what i will say is that I have raced many a domestics and as they may have been a good race, the greater of 75% of them I was the victor, but one domestic I had was a very bad loss, them damn srt4 neons, usually I have more fun while racing imports, they seem to accept losses better, the domestics blame their loss on my turbo, but yet they have twice the motor I do, I do like talking shit with the mullet mustang mobiles, it seems like everyone of them where I live thinks their shit smells like raviolis. There are some very fast and nice domestics, as well as imports, but the general shit talking I see are poor losers.
