It will no longer be a daily driver but it will still be frequently driven on the streets.

I will be lowering it about 2 inches so it won't be as easy to get in and out of steep driveways and over roadside gutters as it used to be.

With about 500 RWHP on tap in a 2600 lbs car it should be pretty quick when its done.

Don't forget to get your NA project done so you can try to beat me at a track or auto-x event.

Once my car is sorted out I would be happy to take on any 930 challengers.

At Dave White's swap meet there was a really nice 930 that showed up with about 750 HP on tap. There was also a seriously modified 993TT there that had over a thousand hp and could do the quarter mile in less than ten seconds.

Nice! Cams from webcam? I just bought Strokker racings 3.4 C2 Turbo cylinders - flame ringed and heat coated. Plated and Bored to 98mm. Not sure if I'll turbo it or just run a strong 3.4 NA. Looks nice Tony.

Its from John Dougherty who is 'camgrinder' on the PPBBS. He used to be the cam grinder for Elgin Cams before he went into business for himself.

If you don't end up getting a 930 to put those jugs on put a turbo on your's instead.

If I wasn't planning on using new valves I probably would have bought stroker's old valves.

Oh yeah - Know John. I am planning on putting them on my car - either a NA 3.4 or a turbo 3.4 - Juan seems to get good hp with his car, right? Its a g-50 carrera with turbo jugs and pistons - figure I might have a little more room if I go with JE pistons on a 3.4 platform. I can always go lower compression JE's at a later standpoint and turbo. I have the brakes to support it - and the g-50 will handle it. Anyway - I'm in the early phase here.

I should be done with my project by the time you start yours (crosses fingers) so if you take the DIY route let me know if you need a hand.

Thanks - I would be happy with 350 - 400 hp - which seems pretty doable if I go Turbo and close to 300hp if I stay NA.

Jeeze man, Porsche? You couldn't pick a fight with a more track savvy group. I'm looking forward to you and g-50 gettin' it on.

Regardless of the Tony vs. g-50 outcome, as mentioned earlier, gotta admire your perseverance.

Oh I don't plan on running a 930, especially Tony's unless it's on a nice tight autocross or street course...

Now, if I go the 3.4 turbo route - then it's feasible that I could get the same sort of HP...

Now, I'd be interested in seeing Tony run Juan Ruiz's car - he has a G-50 Carrera just like mine - but with a just little more HP
