But I hate the price. The first of several packages arrived today at work.

I now have all the parts I need to put my engine together minus the cams. I also got my new torsion bars for the front of the car today too.

Its nice to know the end is near but it doesn't look like a lot of stuff for $1,200.

Yeah. That box would hold 1200 easily. It looks like Tony pulled the fairy dust out first though. Porsches run on that stuff.

 

LOL, actually there is only about $1K in the big box and the torsion bars in the other box and leaning up against the big one were $200.

The really expensive stuff like the GT37 turbo, massive intercooler, cams, fuel injectors, ARP head studs and hollow rear torsion bars will be ordered in the next few weeks.

Those are the most expensive items for this whole project, adding up to over $3,500.

 

I finally got my super cup racing cams this weekend as well as some titanium retainers to lighten up the valve train. The lobes are so big I can barely fit one cam into its hole. The 930 should have a pretty lopey sounding idle once its back together.

 

Thank god my roomie doesn't mind me hogging the dining room table for my take home project work.

 

And the race is on! Which will completed first, Tony's Porsche or I-4?
