Do you like turns and want a different kind of TRack Day?
depending on when i would be down to show up in my STI.
20 minutes is a really long time to be going WOT, brake fade, brain fade, car fade.... would be a big factor for first timer`s....

This thread has been dead since May, that's fuckin' 6 months! Christ that's old! Anyhoo, I by no means have the car/talent/interest in drivng anything of that caliber, but would be soooo super interested in watching. John, what's the location and price for spectators if/when this happens? By the way, if anyone was considering suicide, I'll let them borrow one of my cars.

I have no track experience at all, but would love to get out and see what my car can do. Im sure there will be enough novice(me) and experienced drivers to put on the track in seperate groups. As far as passing goes, all the person in front has to do is slow down and pull to the right side of the track and wave the other by, if your slow your slow no need to ruin someone elses time. Sometimes its funner to trail anyways ways. Im def in if this happens, and also wouldnt mind having an instuctor or experiences racer ride with me.
Let us know John, dont give up!

Definitely would be up for this.
Passing/wheel to wheel should NOT be allowed unless everyone has a competition SCCA Road Racing license. Allowing wheel to wheel for any Joe off the street is just downright SCARY. I don't think the track would even allow it...atleast I would hope so.
Passing when gettng waved by in regular HPDE format would be just fine.
Depending on course, passing could just be ruled out. I have done a few "track days" at Gainseville Road Course, and running 2-3 cars at a time on the course, properly spaced, there is no reason to have passing period.
Which tracks are you thinking about using? GIR is a great track for a first track day. Then gradually move up to the bigger/faster ones.

So would my 97 Civic H/B be up for this?? As far as suspension I have tokiko blues and H&R springs. It is on steelies though and brakes have not been upgraded yet, but def would be if i signed up. Would crossed drilled rotors and some nice ceramic pads do the job?? Let me know I would like to def get into road racing or even auto x.

Twanksta, your car should be fine. Change the brake fluid and get a set of street pads... Hawk HPS are good pads. Make sure the tires are in good shape..... steelies are fine.
