You are asking for death. If you have no cage in your car, do not get the harnesses.
i drive an s13...-"also think about getting a hans device or isaac device"....???which is? i thought about getting the autopower "cage" just the part that goes inthe back of you, its like 250 ish...but i dont know....how would that compare to just having a bar welded in?

HANS will cost you more than $1,000. You wear it and it is attached to the helmet to keep your neck from snapping off. A common and fatal injury. IMO it's overkill (no pun intended) for amateurs since most rarely reach the speeds as the pros or are involved in pro-like race conditions.
Now, if you're running 6-second quarters or hitting 180 on the back stretch at Sebring...
I have Simpson five points.

The problem with running a 5 pt harness in a car that has no cage is that if you were to flip your car, you are stuck. With a normal seat belt, you can lean, bend down, etc. If you flip with the harnesses on, your roof will collapse with no cage to support it and your neck will be snapping like a fire cracker. To each his own as I see people still doing this.
For the record, I have sparco 5pts in my car.
