No, Import trucks are ok too here.. It's just that the Original topic was about what we thought about the F150 SPECIFICALLY... The Titan and the NEW frontier are nice trucks too.. Boo to the Tundra although the smaller toyota truck X-something can outperform a 350z ... HOA....

So I went and picked another truck off the lot for a test drive. Even bounced worse than mine.
All I can say is when test driving pay close attention to the feel of the truck at about 58-60 mph on a straight smooth road. Just hold it there and see if it stays smooth.
The truck rides great at any other speed.
Maybe i just expect too much from a $30,000 truck that advertises its great car like feel and superb handling?
I drove my father inlaws '04 silvarado, and although the Ford rode better at every other speed, the Chevy did not start bouncing down the road at 60mph.

What wheel base do you have? the short bed xtended cab is the 133" ,which i think is the best, the crew cab short bed is the 139" which I have heard no complaints against either. I drive 90mph on I75 and it feels like I am crusin in a bmw 7 series.

Im guessin you have the 147" I believe, extended cab, medium box. They have had some problems with that wheel base set up. I would stick with a 133" or 139"

Its has the full 4 doors, looks like a short bed. I'll have to look at the factory book for actual wheel base.
I've talked to other master techs. at Ford. They same they have much more vibration problems know, than in the last 20 years. They also mentioned card board in the driveshafts?
Is that true?

I dont know about the cardboard, but with a crew cab (4 full doors) im sure you have the 139" wheel base.

I would just keep hounding the dealer closest to you, if you are consistent enough im sure they will get to the bottom of it.

Good luck.

Titan got 1st place in its class from Car and Driver

I guess import trucks are not allowed into the discussion. I personally think people call the Titan ugly because that is the only thing bad they can really say about it which doesn't mean much in the first place because thats preference. I think they look pretty good. IMO they have the best powertrain in the class. The VK56DE*Endurance* 5.6L DOHC V8 is way underrated at 305hp...most pull 260-270whp and ~330rwtq stock. I've heard that the tranny is the smoothest shifting and best geared for towing in class primarily because it's a 5-speed as opposed to a 4-speed. Both the F-150 and Titan are great trucks and beat everything else in the class hands down. [/QUOTE]
