My roommate has a crew cab with full leather and upgraded stereo, let me tell you it's a great truck. He pulls his 24' boat without problems, plus he used to have his own lawn service and pulled the trailer with 2 mowers and other misc. equipment with ease.
I have an '04 F150 Lariat. Beautiful truck. But its been to the dealership multiple times. At around 60mph the back end of the truck starts to bounce a bit. Had the truck aligned and new tires put on. Its better but not perfect. Talked to the Service manager. He asks" Ever own a truck before?". Then preceeds to tell me thatts how trucks drive.
So I went and picked another truck off the lot for a test drive. Even bounced worse than mine.
All I can say is when test driving pay close attention to the feel of the truck at about 58-60 mph on a straight smooth road. Just hold it there and see if it stays smooth.
The truck rides great at any other speed.
Maybe i just expect too much from a $30,000 truck that advertises its great car like feel and superb handling?
I drove my father inlaws '04 silvarado, and although the Ford rode better at every other speed, the Chevy did not start bouncing down the road at 60mph.

my dad has always bought the decked out ford f150 lariat for the past 5 years, he gets a new one every year. he never had any problems pulling his 28 foot bayliner, which wieghs alot more than your car.
but this year he bought an 05 toyota tundra 4-door, leather, hugh-ass sun roof, everything. he said hes never going back to ford again. he liked the toyota so much he decided to take a cross country drive in it. and he still uses it to pull his boats.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

Dont know where my post about the Titan went. You either like the looks of it or you dont. I personally like the looks and dyno sheets, but I dont like the Ford's complaint list or less power

I guess import trucks are not allowed into the discussion. I personally think people call the Titan ugly because that is the only thing bad they can really say about it which doesn't mean much in the first place because thats preference. I think they look pretty good. IMO they have the best powertrain in the class. The VK56DE*Endurance* 5.6L DOHC V8 is way underrated at 305hp...most pull 260-270whp and ~330rwtq stock. I've heard that the tranny is the smoothest shifting and best geared for towing in class primarily because it's a 5-speed as opposed to a 4-speed. Both the F-150 and Titan are great trucks and beat everything else in the class hands down.
