http://www.mustangdyne.com/pdfs/MDAWDIMP_se.pdf

PDF File on all of the information on the mustang AWD chassis dyno's used at both CFT and Aerocomp racing.

http://www.ultimategarage.com/dynatech.html

Information on the hub dyno that is used at Mastro.

Now you can read and make your own conclusions.

Nothing is more accurate then a chassis dyno for real world tests. You say that a number of fast cars and "race" teams have traveled to Mastro yet I see no proof. After having many talks about dyno's many different people who have experienced both chassis dyno's and hub dyno's they all chose the chassis dyno over the hub dyno. It's more accurate because it's actual rubber to ground contact hp. They can also give you accurate ET passes that are from rubber to ground contact. Plus not to mention the fact that Mastro is supposedly charging $300 for 3 pulls when places like CFT are charging $125 an hour plus free wide band you just can't beat it. If hub dyno's are so much better then chassis dyno's then why doesn't mustang dyno's or dynojet, most arguably the two biggest names in dyno's in the world don't make a hub dyno? That's good for Mastro that they are sponsors here and I'm sorry if I don't think they are the best. I could care less if the fact that I don't live in tampa has to do with this. He asked where AWD dyno's were around and I told him. Orlando is around Tampa and is definitely worth the drive. Sorry if I'm willing to tell someone "Hey go here, it's better and a better price" to help benefit them the most then say "Hey go here, they sponsor us". Most likely if you ask anyone in the dyno experience world what is better, a hub dyno or a chassis dyno they will tell you a chassis dyno. Thats why there are more of them throughout the world, and used for testing on more cars anywhere then any other kind of dyno's. Hmm there was a picture in the general section of the MB SLR being tested on a chassis dyno, guess they don't know anything cause you damn well know they will use the best of whatever is out there to get the best and most accurate results no matter what the cost. Go figure, if you don't like the fact that I'm saying somewhere else is better then one of our sponsors just because I'm trying to help someone out and tell them the truth then just delete my posts.

IN MY OPINION(Not that of TR or anyone else who is held under TR power and can only say "go to our sponsors) CFT and Aerocomp both are a better dyno then Mastro. IN MY OPINION ONCE AGAIN if you want the best bang for your buck and the job done right IN MY OPINION you should go to CFT or Aerocomp.

And in reply to RoadRacers last post: I could care less what some golfer who doesn't know anything about cars so he has to have someone dyno and tune it for him takes his cars. He's a golfer. And $150 for 3 pulls still sounds alot? How much is an hour or day rate?

And the fact that I know the owner of Aerocomp has nothing to do with it, I also know the owners of CFT so what. I'm just saying in my opinion if you want to dyno an awd and do it right and get the best bang for your buck go their because of the dyno's that they have, not the owners.

How? You have yet to disprove anything I have said. The numbers I quoted for prices were two different numbers given by two members of this board and two locals so what does that say about people who even live in the same city as the dyno? Are they as "blatantly incorrect" on local resources as I am?

Mastro dyno right now is charging $150 for 3 pulls with a coupon, Or you can pay (per the phone call with the parts guy) $149.00 for "setup and 3 er or 4 pulls, I'm not sure."(man I want to take my car here).

So like I have stated before, we will let everyone chose their own. You can go to a hub dyno at Mastro and get 3 pulls for $150 OR you could put down to orlando and get unlimited pulls plus free wideband for $125an hour from CFT.

And for your quote of "Dynapack is the chosen dyno by many V8 Super car teams as well as used by car manufactures for OEM testing." I don't see any references to it so unless I see some kind of facts...

As for this topic I'm done with it. I guess I learned a little bit about Mastro that I didn't know and it seems Mastro is a decent place if you want to hub dyno your car. But as far as I'm concerned anytime anyone asks me "where can I get my awd car dyno'd" I'll continue to say "Go to Aerocomp or CFT, they seem the best deals and way to dyno your car to me" I guess I'll just add in "Unless you're just looking for 3 pulls on a hub dyno and have time to spend while they hook it up and unhook it then Mastro is your place"
