Yeah I've gotten pulled over by a statetrooper in the city because of illegal exhaust sucks...he said he couldn't hear his radio.

 

I wonder how my car is going to sound with a 236/247 duration cam with the 2 chamber flows, no cats, and dumps .. maybe I'll get a ticket then, we'll see. I'll see you all next saturday.

 

Down with the law, but the law was never that down on the big dump pipe disguised as a muffler on my 930.

 

+1 except it's in my 5.0's and now my 4.6. A few people on here can tell you how loud my last 5.0 was with LT headers, 3 inch exhaust and 1 chamber Flowmasters turned down after the muffler. I think it's a profiling thing, you import guys should sue for discrimination!

 

It isn't a volume thing its a noise thing. Nobdy likes the high pitched buzz that a four banger makes. The reason loud domestics don't catch exhuast tickets is because of the bass rumble of a V8.

 

You must have been at WOT or the cop just wanted to give you shit because he saw a young kid in a nice car that cost more then what he makes in a year. I have been around your car and I would have to say it's not loud at all, I would be able to hear my radio over it, er that is if I had one.

 

Bikes aren't legal, just overlooked. Motorcycles suffer the same exhaust laws as cars, it's just that a Harley, IMO, sounds 100 times cooler than a fart-capped, 4 banger import, so it's less likely to get a ticket. I never get bothered in my car either and I'm running Hooker long tubes to dual Dynomax Super Turbos.

 

You'd hate both of my bikes. The Harley has gutted screamin' eagle cans on it, soon to be replaced with 2" long drags w/ AR cones, and the Honda has quad 1 3/4" slashcut drags
