I don't know too much about the ION redline..but when I was at the last GM Auto Show in Motion, they had one on display to sit in and what not. I got in and popped the hood. My dad and I opened it up, and it wsn't the usual Ion Ecotec. It looked a bit homemade under there. A saturn rep quickly rushed over and shut the hood. She told me that I wasn't supposed to see that. It was the engine from the Redline Vue. Isn't that the 245hp 6 banger powerplant? She told me this car is a mule and there ihad been some consideration about stuffing it in there for production...it looked to be a pretty good fit.
Anyway...I think the Redline Ion is pretty cool. I do think they should have free'd up some ponies from the motor before they just slapped on a supercharger.

 

I hear the stock s/c runs like 2psi??

 

If your talkin about the ION Red Line, then no. It's 12 lbs.

Are you envious or just hate GM's? You seem to have a lot of negative comments about a cheap 200hp sport compact.

if i had a an s/c running 12psi on my 4 banger, i'd be putting down close to 300, there's a difference compadre.
