It doesn't matter what kind of car you drive, weaving in and out of traffic is dangerous. I don't do it based purely on the fact that I drive an SUV. I'm not stupid, I know my fat Bertha would flip in a moment if I drove like an asshole. I've been in a car that has almost flipped over (the driver regained control) and I knew it would happen based purely on the fact that we were in a Wrangler and she was driving like a mad woman in the middle of winter with black ice. I see more compact cars and sedans weave in and out of traffic and cause/close to cause accidents on a daily basis more than I do see SUV's do the like. It's about the person. If they know what the boundries are of their car and themselves, then they've won 1/2 the battle. The other 1/2 is keeping all your senses in tune because of the other dirvers on the road.

My boyfriend will put it in both of our vehicles on occasion, I was just curious as to why other people use it. But since this seems to be turning into a pissing match that I don't want to be a part of, because it's pointless, I'll just keep watching the thread and see if anyone else has anything useful input to further my knowledge.
Agreed.. Give me a break. We're talking about gas, not about SUV's..

And you can't sit there and blame ALL SUV owners for the way you've seen 2 or 3 drive. Give me a break. How about I go on a rant about how all 'sport compacts' drive like shit, weaving in and out of lanes, speeding, tailgating, and poor attempts at owning the road. "You sport compact drivers".. Sounds pretty stupid, doesn't it? Pretty shitty to assume all SUV drivers are like that..just as shitty to assume that sport compact owners are like that as well.

I'm not about to sit here and defend the need to drive an SUV. I could come up with a million insults or a million negative things to say about driving a CAR.. but I won't.. This is retarded. Can we get back to discussing the real topic at hand? If it's a problem, then leave the thread.

Interestingly, my car was originally equipped with a switch allowing you to run regular or premium gas. Basically this worked as probably the worlds first electronic boost controller. In "regular", the car ran on 10psi. Switch to "premium" and it upped it to 15psi. Pretty cool on a 19 year old car.

Ok, I own both types of cars that we're discussing about. One of which is a Jeep and the other is an Integra. They both have the pros and cons to them and I put 93 in both like for a couple of weeks at a time just to clean out some deposits. I know there's other stuff out on the market that I could buy but hey, it's easier to just go to the gas station and pump away.

higher octane gas in a car that will run on lower octane, can and will cause a loss of power
