well I'm not planning on it being a daily driver or anything, just something that I can take out every once in a while cruise, track, etc. so relatively street worthy

4L80E.

It is the Big Brother of the 4L60E and it shares a lot of parts with the TH400. It is the tranny used with the heavy duty truck packages so it will hold the power, plus you will still have the OD for street driving.

yea, little different gearing then a 700R4 i believe, but its 4psd w/ OD

like i said before, from what i understand, the 4L80E is going to be a toughy to fab up to work, but itll do very good, and you have your overdrive.

if you want a 4spd, then your best bet is the200R4 or next, the 4L80E conversion...

200R4 isnt electronically controlled i dont believe, so it would make it a little less problematic, but both trannies should hold alot of power once built correctly, and both have OD.
