Actually 8" is on the very low end of the "approved" rim ranges -

7's on a 245 are not recommended

Think ya mean the Kumho 712...

Had both of these tires on my Z31 for autocross..

Same suspension setup.. buckingham Test and tune track

temps 85+ degrees both times...

Kumho 712: 38.715 avg of 2 fastest runs w/o penalties
Bridgestone RE730: 35.398 avg of 2 fastest runs w/o penalties
Kumho Victoracer AutoX tires : 33.281 avg of 2 fastest runs w/o penalities but shattering my T-Tops midway through my 5th run of the day!! :o

These were all on the same car.. same day.. same temp on 16x7.5 inch wheels (several sets of stock Z31 wheels).

I dunno I think that the Kumho 712 honestly has the treadwear advantage.. but I think all grip awards go towards the bridgestone, cutting times 2.5 seconds slower than "race" tires over a 1/2 mile course is pretty nice

My set of RE730's lasted 12K miles with 4 auto crosses (total of maybe 20-25 runs on them...
