you all smack around the rx8 so well.. but truly it isnt for those who are all into performance.. plus its the first year its been here.. and im sure there will be performance parts for it soon... and if it sells well by those who have all the cash in their pocket mazda will continue to make it better for us over here.. if not, there will be plenty of ways to make it better on your own as it was for the rx7.. so little faith, so little patience..

 

Wow! this is amazing... Most of the people saying the RX-8 is slow are driving MODDED cars. The reason why you all made the mods were to make your cars faster, no? So it is probably safe to say that STOCK your cars would probably seem slow to you now too. As far as the look of thr RX-8, well that is subjective, but quite frankly I wouldn't give a second glace to a TSI or Firebird.

ive heard a lot of people say the rx8 isnt all that attractive.. however ive liked it since i first saw it as a prototype.. and even more so since i saw one with a bodykit.. the question of performance.. psh.. thats dumb, that can be fixed easily.. and as stated before by someone else.. going in a straight line is highly overrated.. ohhh. lets drift.. ish

 

so i guess no one really likes the rx8 it seems quick to me i have a 90 hatch with a b16 swap and a 03 mazdaspeed with a whoppin t25 and the factory setting 6.9 pounds of boost

 

My truck is stock and it's faster than an RX8.

 

And faster than a lot of other cars, but it's still a truck...

 

That's some serious insight there... what's your point?

 

how can you compare a truck to a car.. or a lamborghini to a honda.. most everything deserves respect.. just because your opinion differs from someone else doesnt mean your attitude is justified

 

My point was this: 6speed8 said it wasn't fair for people to call the RX8 slow because their cars would likely be just as slow if they were stock. My Lighting is stock therefore I have complete latitude to say that the RX8 is slow.

 

who cares if its slow.. the term slow is so vague in the first place.. slow compared to what..

of course its fair for people to say its slow.. their opinion.. opinions vary.. since it is factored on being stock.. but your stock is completely different than the rx8 stock.. the rx8, yes, being more of a family sadan, not focusing on performance, where as your truck is.. obviously its going to be slower than yours.. not much of a defeat is it
