You'd probably want something like a Honda Del-Sol.
It's a two seater, so insurance will kill your parents, but other than that, it's pretty inexpensive and it's cute.

I dunno..im not 2 smart with cars..so plz bare with me...n sorry if i get annoying... :\ but umm..i actually fell in love with his CRX...they're so cute..but i heard they're deathtraps

Actually now that I think about it, you might want to take a look at the Volkswagen Corrado. These cars are BAD ASS and they look great.

Driving a stick is easy. I taught my GF in a week to just about perfect it. As long as someone explains things to you well prior to you actually driving, you should be fine in less than a week on your own. You will never want to drive an auto more than likely.
