So how do you know that her parents don't have cash they are willing to dump on there kid? I wish my parents would have had $25,000 to spend on me. I would be driving a 2002 z28 if that was the case, but instead I'm driving my 92 bird. Anyway.....I say you should go for an srt-4 or a WRX if your parents are actually going to give you that much money. Good luck in your with what ever you choose.

 

I agree that a WRX would be a GREAT first car. They have nice/decent power and AWD (only idiots spin them out on axident) And it has 4 doors!! you can haul around your friends


It will give you an opportunity to learn to drive a manual tranny, I believe everyone should learn at some point in their life.

From what I know they are falling into the categores of a well built japaneses car that holds up well. when you have become confortable with the car and a good driver it has the possibility to actually make some decent power easily with performance upgrades.

 

Go with the impreza wrx.. It si a really good car. It is the most reliable car I can think of to drive in the rain.

 

All I have to say is this:

Ask yourself these questions.


What are my goals of this car?
Is this going to be competitor in the local field?
What is more important, looks or speed?

Please think very hard about the 3rd question. It is very important. You really need to decide your goals so everyone knows what to recommend to meet them.
