Since its a great shop supply to have around you should head down to home depot or lowes and by a quart of acetone for a couple of bucks. Its in the paint thinner section.

Don't trust womens nail polish remover since its usually adulterated with stuff to make it smell better or keep nails from becoming brittle.

i already have acetone lying aournd from fiberglassing, I'll do aprep job on the windshield tomorrow

eh i didn't care enough to do it right, that was the least of my worries when it came to that pos truck.
