Default wheel width 90 FOX

1..OK, looks like I'm building another project car, I have a 88-89-90 FOX and am installing a 00 IRS in it. I have the special edition cobra wheels:
17 x9-10" Chrome fit Mustang ® Cobra r rims deep dish | eBayo I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have to flair the rear wheels with the IRS.

2...The other deal is that I have lincoln front hubs and am looking for some 13-14 inch brakes for them.

3...Lastly I want to run a non power master cylinder, I've bought the adapter form a drag race guy but he warned me that you have to use a lot of force to get the brakes to apply. I'd like to run a single master cylinder to activate the front and rear brakes (I'll use a cockpit adjustable prop valve in the car). If I have to go power, I'm guessing that it's going to be a hydro-boost.

#3) I converted my 94 over to manual brakes (no power booster). You can change the pedal ration to help with the increased pedal pressure. The cheapest way to do this is to drill a new pivot hole higher up on the pedal and then use a 1/2" female rod end with 1/2" bolt with the head cut off for the push rod. Don't go to crazy with moving the hole up too far as it will cause alignment problems with the push rod to master cylinder and also make the pedal travel a lot longer. (See pix)

Maximum Motorsports makes a kit to do all this for you including a new brake pedal that has adjustable pivot points to dial in your brake feel.

If I recall it is the one they used on the '93 Cobras. I don't recall the bore dimensions. The M/C was originally part of a Baer 12" rear brake kit for the Fox body cars. I am currently using this setup with 4 piston Wilwoods up front and single piston Wilwood GM III calipers in the rear. I road race the car at Sebring and Daytona and punish the brakes with zero problems.

Those Wilwoods, is this on a FOX body? I have the Lincoln brakes on my '90 but would prefer the bigger 13 or 14 inch rotors and a decent caliper. I have the cobra brakes in the rear on the irs unit.

The Wilwood setup on the front (and the back for that matter) is a setup I fabricated from scratch. Our class rules only allow for a 12.19" rotor front and back (limited to 16"x8" wheels). At the time I did this it was on my Fox-body car with 94-95 SN95 spindles. I moved everything over to the SN95 when I built it last year. Whole front setup (calipers, hats, rotors, etc) cost me about $800 plus my time. I believe Wilwood now sells basically this same setup as a kit but it cost a lot more than $800. If you call them, ask for the SCCA American Sedan Kit.
