need help what would casue this ?
the fuel is fine its 11.8 all he way and im guessing its holding according to my fuel pressure gauge
I wouldn't run it at 11.8, your just asking for trouble on pump. I don't see how someone can tune a car to "stop" making power at a set RPM. I bet it's a mechanical/ fuel problem stopping it at 4,800.
Are you running an air filter? Sounds stupid but we had a filter that was too small and it did the same thing. After that, we never ran one.
You also have to factor boost pressure on the intake valve, the pressure on the valve acts like a week spring. You want to run alot of spring pressure on the closed side, but you can't have too much on the open side or your collapse the hyd lifter.
And when we did the 610 it was with the 80mm turbo on the 363ci. (we couldn't break 525 with the 70mm it was too small)
You can't mistake fuel pressure for volume.

as for him tuning it for it to not go past 4800RPM maybe hes pulling alot of timing on the top end which is why it wont go past 4800.
only reason im saying this is because the other day i cecked timing and with spout out it was at 8degree so i took it up to 12 with spoutout and now it will go past 5000RPM but you can feel its loosing power

Do you know what your total timing is now under boost?
The way the stock computer works is that if you leave the spout out , it can't control the timing anymore, if your car is still set up that way, I'd pull the spout out and set the timing at 18-19*, leave the spout out and go drive the car and see what it does. It will be piggy down low but should be fine under boost.

For what your wanting to do... street car/pump gas i wouldn't trust the fuel around here. Your not after every last drop of HP, so to fatten it up a bit will only make it safer. Alot of this is new to you, things can go bad fast. I know cause i've been there, turbos are a shit load of fun but there is alot going on.
Just take a step back and look at what your doing, Sounds like your getting pushed around by your tuner, you NEED to understand what's going on with your car and he NEEDS to take the time for you to know that. Our you need to find someone else to work on your car.

Who put your cam in? Did they degree it? Or just " dot to dot"??..... again if you feel 11.8 a/f is safe have fun. But go ahead and start building another shortblock with better pistons ect...
