I was wondering how easy it is to install u-joints? I'm pretty mechanically inclined (still) and I wanted to know if its something I could do bymyself or is it easier to take it somewhere so I don't have to deal with it.

Also about how much are u-joints? and can anyone get me a better deal?

ok. got under the car over the weekend. Tranny mount looks good, U Joints look good, driveshaft to pinion is on tight, all rear suspension bushings look good. this sucks.

Well i took the car to NFS this morning, and had Tony stand under it while I duplicated the sound. Still confused. The origin of the sound is very hard to pinpoint. Pulled the tranny mount and it looked good (very flexible rubber, but no rips or tears).

I think im just going to have to do some trial and error repairs: New mount, new U-joints (or an FMS alum driveshaft), spec stage 2 or 3 clutch with alum flywheel (at one point it sounded like it was coming from that area), new T56 trans (if the damage is inside the T45). (luckily, most of the stuff will mate to a 5.4, so it wont be a complete waste of $$)
