Default Car is sputtering when i accelerate

When im in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear and i accelerate my car will sputter. I thought it was because I bought shitty gas but its been happening for about 2 months. I tried seafoam in the tank but it didnt do anything. Im thinking it might be the air filter or something. Any ideas on what it might be?

when u go to advance or autozone next time for your filter, they have actual MAF cleaner.
and i recommend u not use ANYTHING else because iv heard bad stories about using TB cleaner and brake cleaner lol
and IAC, i spray brake cleaner in there and let it sit upside down and soak for a while then just wipe it out before u put it back in. thats how iv done it it and havent had a problem

and i would still check the wires where they connect to the plugs. iv had my headers burn through them because i had them angled the wrong way

Your IAC only minor idle speed adjustments. It wont have anything to do with sputtering.

The MAF can, but it controls fueling into the motor. So unless when its sputtering its blowing black smoke out the tail pipes.. probably ignition related.

Could also be a fuel pump going bad. But start on the easy stuff.. thats why I suggested plugs. You can tell a a lot about an engine looking at the spark plugs. If they all come out black and sooty.. then its a fueling issue. They pull out white.. then its lean=fuel system issue.

IAC could cause slight sputtering
wouldnt hurt to clean it either way
