Ok...Then that means it is most likely not the coil. (this is an observation....not expert diagnosis) I would place money on the plug wires, a plug being cracked, or fuel filter.

i took it to my mechanic today and he said it was probably the coil pack. The car misfires only sometimes when i accelerate. A computer diagnoses is around 75dollars. I guess it will be worth figuring out whats the problem even though its expensive. A misfire would usually be wires plugs or coil. plugs and wires are fairly new the coil isnt. Id say its the coil also. But i dont want to spend 80 on a coil and then it not be that. So i guess ill just get it dianosed.

My CEL didnt come on and Cody's zillion dollar scanner didnt pick it up either. Go to the junk yard and look around. I found 2 brand new Motorcraft coils for cheap. I had chased everything else, because it didnt show up on the scanner. Several knowledgable people confirmed the thoughts of it being a fuel issue. Nope checked good. Done a complete tune up including fuel filter...nope not that either. Long story short, I change a bunch of parts including IAC, EGR and O2 sensors. Runs damn good now though!

$75 sounds expensive....There should be SOMEONE on here that can do that for you for cheaper....Or, you can have it scanned by autozone or advance.
