Front brakes and wheel problem help
He'll still need the wheel spacers for the wheels to clear the brakes. Need at least 17" wheels to clear the Cobra brakes. I tried a 16 wheel before and it rubbed. I think the calipers could be ground to clear 16" wheels if needed but dont hold me to that. Most just use a 1/2" wheel spacer up front. With a QA1 that might put them into the fender on a Fox. QA1 and UPR sell adjustible lower a-arms that work great.
This was the set up on mine.

A QA-1 k-member sets the wheels out 1 inch and forward 1 inch, i have spindles off of a 95 mustang with the dual aluminum calipers and i have to use a 1/2 inch spacer to clear the brakes. Post a pic of the k-member.
The tires for a 3.5 rim are 165sr15 or 165/80r15 same tire size.

If the brakes clear the wheels with 1/2" spacer, i'd keep them. But, that's alot of brake for a tire that was meant for a VW bug.
Like Hurst said, get the rod end style a-arms one inch short and you can move the wheels all over the place.

But at least you have good a-arms to sell, they'll go fast.
You can also get the fox arms with the sn-95 ball joints
john
It's only money

Dont go to the typical franchise places to get an alignment with adjustable lowers. Most of them hire young kids who were trained on that particular machine and only know how to follow factory specs that are built into the software of the machine. With a lowered car and aftermarket supsension they can no longer go by factory specs. I went to 2 places who couldnt get it right. I went to Tire Kingdom, then to Georges who swore to me they could do it,.. then a couple guys from N2S recommended Cars and Concepts in Tampa to me. They did a fantastic job and they know their shit. They were the only one's who could do a 4 wheel alignment on my wife's Tiburon after we lowered it as well. I will stand behind those guys when it comes to getting alignments done.
At least this way you'll have it done right. If you get adjustable upper arms for the rear they can set your pinion angle as well.
