If its so easy to to make your cars run in the 10s then why are you only running mid 12's? I dont see why so of you guys cant respect a persons car for what it does and not just blow it away with comments because of its make.

Im friends with fast crx and I also own a Honda, but I also have friends that have Fords. I respect their cars because they make them faster. I wouldnt just kill them because they have a domestic.

Your right. My car is slow. Considering I have full interior(race weight is 3550#), STOCK LONGBLOCK w/ full accessories, and it's my DAILY DRIVER! I'm sure if I gut the piss out of the car, get some internal work I too will be in the 10's. U see any imports w/ the same setup in the 12's w/ no power adder? I'm not knockin just because a person has a faster car than me. They have a totally different setup. And all this "well we have 4 pistons less stuff" it's your decision u wanted a smaller motor not me. -Mark

wow this topic took a turn for the worste. anyway, I am a little disapointed with some people hating. I am one of the 1st to make fun of any car running 16+ times at the track, yet I do find a car that runs 10s interseting no mater if its ford or whatever. I have been to a shit load of Ford events and to be honest there are only a few classes that guys are running sub 10 sec times. Shit look at the mod motor class, they are all pigs, and now we have the focus class that has just about everyone in the 16+...After going to my 1st Import race this weekend I was pleasntly surpised that there were some real fast cars, sure there were no Pro-5.0 guys running 6s but there wasn't anyone out there with those guys race budget. All I have to say is that it takes a lot for anything to get in the 10s, I don't care what everyone is saying that you can just gut your stang and do it, there has to be a great deal of skill in the driver and a lot of time spent with the car.

I was just curious if you were talking about a Honda only having to have 300hp to run those times. I hope you werent because a Honda is gonna have to have more then 300hp to run high times. Its gonna need more like 500hp to run that well. And to anyone of you guys that dont think that Hondas cant run with full int. and a/c your wrong...SFP has a 99 Si that runs 10.80s, it is also his wifes daily driver. Just something to think about.

Not sure where you got your calculations there knowledge112, according to what I have figured out ( on 3 different HP calcs) but a 500hp car weighing 2100 lbs will do mid 9's (9.40s given everything goes perfect). Where are you getting your facts and figures? And I think T/S 25 was refering to A 4 CYL MOTOR.. not just a honda
