I had a diesel tech look at it and I wanted to fix all the oil leaks too. It has a few issues (nothing major) just sensors and pumps. I is gonna cost me a penny or two but I plan to keep it for a while and want it running right.

I changed the lift pump and filter and still have the hesitation. The lift pump was nasty though.

So what ended up being the problem? Is the truck fixed yet?

If the pump had crud in it. It would be a good idea to take the pickup out of the tank. And clean it. There are 2 screens on the pickup. If u don't, u stand a good chance of. Burning another pump up

The pump wasn't burned up. I am getting some air in the fuel line from the back. The turbo pedestal was leaking and I was leaking on a sensor or two as well as the shaft around the pedestal. I think the loose fuel line coming from the tank letting the air in was the problem but I wont know till later this week. We had to order a rebuild kit for the shaft thingie when we got the turbo off.
