Check for fuel flow from you lift pump. There is no pressure sensor for it, and it makes some pretty good noise when it happens. Easy way to diagnose is to remove the fuel filter lid, and have someone turn the key on. It should fill up fairly rapidly, if not, then there is something going on with the lift pump.

I did this and it fills up. Not too rapidly, but it does fill up. It doesnt make a sound though. I didnt get too much time to work on it today but I did look at the filter and test it like you said. I also disconnected the metal hose from the exhaust manifold and started on the exhaust back pressure sensor one. It fought me and I will have to finish tomorrow.

The noise I am referring to is the noise the engine makes when the lift pump isn't working. It hammers, and cackles pretty good.

So long as the filter bowl is filling, its fairly safe to assume the lift pump is Ok. Keep us posted.

I cleaned out the exhaust back pressure line and the sensor was clogged. It runs slightly better but is still under powered and showing the same symptoms. We are gonna hook the scanner up to it monday and see if the sensor is shot.

Just throwing this out there, but have you checked the intercooler and cac tubes? The silicone connectors could have some dry rot and possibly a hairline crack in it.
