Hmm, I dunno. I would expect there to be some kind of stored code. I will be in Tampa most of the day Friday, near Dale Mabry and Linebaugh. If you can cross paths with me, I'd be happy to check it out, free of charge.

just an idea and prob a stupid answer but ive got an 08 nitro auto/5spd and my check tranny light kept flashing... being its new i took it to the dealer they plugs it up pulled a code and all it was, was low fluid... witch was my first thoughts but again being new and warrantied i didnt touch it... also another thing the guy there said is that it may have been a bubble/air pocket in the coolant line and the sensor is being thrown off as to where there may not be fluid flowing threw... good luck...

I'll check the fluids today before driving anywhere....In fact, in a few minutes, I'll check it.

Brian, thats right where my karate school is located! But I won't be there until like 5:30 today.

Most likely I will be there into the early evening. Your welcome to call me if you want to swing by.

Ok, I checked the fluid. It was a bit low, so I topped it off....Took it out for a drive, and it STILL started flashing.

I called Brian just a few minutes ago, and he and I are going to meet up this afternoon. Hopefully, he can give me a definate diagnostic of the problem.

Ok, What can I say....Brian is a stand up guy!

I met up with him at a shop over here in Tampa. He hooked up his computer to my "non-existant OBD-II pot on my wife's 94 vert.

It pulled up a transmission temperature sensor, and a 3-4 shift problem.

But, we cleared out the computer, and took it for a drive. The light stayed off. So right now, it looks like the codes were simply old codes.

Thanks Brian! I own you a few beers. Just name the time. If you want to, my fighters from my school are fgoing to meet at Winghouse on Hillsborough in a cpl weeks to watch UFC.

I still think that putting in a 302 and a carb would solve all the problems.
