Yes, he went for a ride with me in the car and it did the shake right off the bat. He thought it was a engine vacuum leak but when he did his search for the leak on the car (Thursday) he was unable to find any sort of vacuum leak so it turned into a.."I don't know what exactly it is but everything checks out fine as far as the engine goes according to my computer diagnostics"

That's what they do. Because it's a 03, the computer is very smart and like you said, no check engine light.

Is the intake hose from the mass air to the throttle body tight and no cracks? Sometimes they can crack and open when you take off from a light and the engine gets fresh un metered air that will trick the computer and make it run funny.

I think its the clutch.

Really hope its not the clutch just got it replaced at 96k miles =(

In case my mechanic gives up, anyone know a reputable mechanic that won't charge me a arm and a leg to look at it and possibly get it fixed?

Did they resurface the flywheel when they did the clutch? They tend the chatter if you don't.

You can't flip it, in any way. The flywheel gets un-even, hot spots and cracks. It has to be resurfaced to make new again. The new clutch disc will take shape to the old flywheel and cause the pressure plate is smooth all the un-even wear makes it chatter.

Just like doing a brake job, you can pad slap it but it's not right. Your asking for noise, and with a clutch your asking for chatter.

Alot of small shops don't resurface because they have to take the flywheel to a tranny shop to have it turned, it takes time and you might never have a problem.
