I am 20 and drive a 4-dr K-car. Its not a mustang let alone a sports car and I pay $150 a month perfectly clean record no accidents no tickets nothing. I have State Farm if that says anything and am insured on 3 other cars both of my parents and my sisters car.

edit: I forgot to mention I own the car outright so I dont have full coverage.

Hey CrazyMoparGirl not to sound stupid but who or what is AIG?

On another note a buddy of mine had a 92 V6 Stang that was totalled even though he saved all of his receipts for his mods he only was reimburrsed(sp?)(sorry) for about 30% of what he put into it.

Somebody was talking about that on another board that I was reading. The insurance company is only going to give you the book value for the car usually. If you mod it and you want them to pay you to replace the mods if the car gets totalled you usually have to have them appraise the car with the mods on it which will mean that your insurance could go up.

It makes sense cause if they think you are driving a 4-cyl stang they arent going to cutt you a check for one that has a V8 if it gets totalled because you were paying them to insure a vehicle with a lesser value.
