I should note that mine was for full coverage on both policies.
Being married will have a good effect (unless she wrecks and drives off speeding lol). You get discounts (youre lucky if you get THAT big of a discount stangerang good job) at 21 and then a bigger one at 25.
You get a discount for ABS anti-theft (like PATS or lojack) alarm and airbags. Oh and some places give a NEW CAR discount plus you get discounts if you have morethan one car insured or multiple policies (like with Allstate or another large group)

The rate drop at 25 is a MYTH as far as Im concerned. My policy dropped $13.00/6 months when I turned 25.... Your mileage may vary but I wouldnt count on it....

The accident was her fault but I am going to drop her off of my insurance...will that have an effect? As for me my record has been clean for over 3 yrs. Last ticket was Jan 21999.

Disney Man If your gonna keep the car for awhile your best bet is to get either a 4cyl foxbody or a v6 sn95 and do a motor swap. That way insurance co will look at your vin and its brings up 4cyl or v6. So in the long run itll pay off. Hope this helps. -Mark

As sad as this is to say I was actually looking at the V6 to save money on payments. I was playing with Progressive.com and they said with my record and credit history and dropping my fiance off of my insurance it would be around $744 for 6 months.

Hey AlcohollicA my fiance read what you wrote about saving money and spending the extra on her and she loved it..bonus points..she thought it was cute!! I owe you a beer dude!

I know I am out of my forum shoot me if you like. Couldnt help checking this out. Man you guys pay alot for insurance. Granted my newest vehicle (99) is a truck and it cost me $500 a year and that includes my husband who has gotten a ticket every year for the last 5 years and 3 accidents plus Multiple car discount homeowners discount and Im 25 hubby is 29. FYI Im with AIG I was with Allstate but they royally raped me on Insurance rates and never paid a claim ($6000.00 p/yr I havent gotten a ticket in 7 years or in an accident that I was at fault or even driving). Again sorry for intruding on your forum.
