Common V6 Swaps?
what is common and easy swap i can put in the mustang to get more power ?
Mainly looking at 300 at the crank something that is a fun DD ya know. V6 has limited life left

Allison V12, but you might need to beef up the suspension. And brakes. And you may need to do some slight body modifications.

But of course, a 5.0 is the swap, you could always cheap out and spray the V6 until it dies if you know it's going anyways.

DOHC 4.6 Mark VIII engine... Got one for sale too. 280HP stock, toss a 100 shot on it and 300whp is a definate. Put the Cobra intake cams and intake on and you can pull 305hp at the crank.

I swapped in a 98 4.6 into my 94 V6 a few years ago. 5.0 would probably be cheaper but I didnt really want a 5.0. Any idiot can swap a 5.0 into a mustang but it takes a special kind of idiot to 4.6 into one

The Mustang Collective Forums - Powered by vBulletin ..not repping them but theyre pretty much all about V6 mustangs and theyve all done 4.6L 5.0L 5.4L swaps.. youre likely to find someone with a cheap modular 4.6L or an available 5.4L there
