I would say that would be a better choice because of rshared_pm but the rshared_pm isn't a must. That setup would cost way to much. The swap, I would have to build the head so I CAN rev it, I might as well do the bottom end while it's apart, the blower, tuning. I spend about 4-5k on an sr that makes 300whp....lol no thanks.

That lsx swap is sounding good.

It would be awesome an different to do a drift notch setup but it takes a lot of fab work to the chassis.

^ I'm not sure why you say that, the mustang rear suspension is basically unstable to begin with. It's great fro going straight but they tend to push going in the corner, then snap oversteer coming out, which is about waht you're looking for right?
I have to autocross one of these with the stock susepnsion, this is why I know.

There are lots of solid axle cars that are used for drift, gt, and autocross. Of
course you need to do the obvious mods first.

Not at all....real men get sideways way before the corner. You're talking about powerovering out of a corner which is gay.

No, actually I'm talking about the pos rear suspension going into snap oversteer when transitioning the center of the corner, but in any case, I don't think it would be that big of a deal to make a mustang work, it's just that this whole drift deal got started in Japan with (of course) Japanese cars, so it stayed their awhile and it never really caught on with the domestics until Ford and Chrysler got involved a few years ago.

I'll not go into what I think is gizzay, but when you're asking advice it may not be wise to insult the people you are asking.

MM Panhard Bar : Maximum Motorsports Performance Mustang Suspension Store, Buy Now!

Thats one fix. I forget the name of the other. Its like "cross" something. Attaches in the center of the axle and has two mounting point near the shocks. Keeps the handling identical regardless of which direction you are turning, unlike a panhard bar.

Yes because pushing a car as fast as it can go through a corner is gay.

Also maybe im just reading it wrong, but wtf is powerovering??? overpowering?

Do Not Use A Panhard Bar with the stock type mustang suspension, it won't work. I've tried it, it completely binds the rearend.

Here's the write up on the IRS conversion, but it really isn't necessary for a drift car to use one of these.

I didn't insult or direct that comment to anyone. I was speaking in general and it was taken out of context.
