I def understand that, but I think with me in it she weights in the ballpark of 3500 maybe 3600 lbs I mean based on what I have is the 8.62 number on target and is it all I can expect at this point before increasing compression or adding some sort of blower or Nitrous.

If your car has no weight reduction and if you weigh at least 200lbs you will have a race weight of close to 3700 - 3800lbs with a SN95 vert. They curb weight almost 3600.

My 96 GT with a QA1 k-member weighed in at 3468lbs with a 1/4 tank.

My 93 at 3344lbs had a race weight of 3664lbs with me in it.
I'm a fat bastard,..yes I like meat loaf and twice baked potatos. LoL

Thanks for the compliments fellas, I did not post this to start shit, I just have a different opinion that it can be done with less than what i'm using. Look at what the guys are doing in the NMRA with 310ci, and all the limitations, the make my junk look slow.

Tommy I guess youy're right it is not a run of the mill, but what makes a stock block 306 with a hydraulic roller on pump gas not a run of the mill? when it was fuel injected it would still get over 20mpg. It does not have shaft rockers, no titanium valves, still the stock stainless valves that come in the heads. I have just worked this junk to death for a year and a half and am not satisfied with it yet, hell I have just about worn the threads in the bellhousing out getting the clutch right.

To the OP, IMO don't settle for GT40 heads and alphabet cams, save you're money and buy one time. There are to many good deals out there these days on aftermaket heads and cams, especially used, just do alot of research before you buy.

You must be from the old school gasser days. Buy it once, get it right, run the dog piss outta it.

I cant comprehend on why these days its all about the HP. Dont get me wrong, I love the 590 my 429 is putting out, but if it wasnt for the 720 some odd TQ, it wouldnt move my turd. You can pick up a relativly cheap 390/428/429/460 from the late 60s early early 70s and it have 345hp stock with 490TQ! You spend $1000 and put it in you're little Mustang with a 200 shot of nitrous and you wouldnt care about having 350hp, you would be hooked on the tq if the car hooks! HP doesnt move a car, otherwise Honda's would be faster. Its all about the TORQUE!

You think 35-3800lbs is up there. Roll across the scales in my turd... Talk about heavy!

+1,000,000! Our little 302's stock put normally under 200 to the wheels stock... But the torque they have at a relatively low RPM is what makes them so much fun to beat on and drive!
