improper adjustment will kill a clutch fast....Is it every gear, or just 2nd? or 4th? reverse?

When it acts up, it's only momentarily but it's every gear. And the clutch isn't slipping or anything... I can do the old uphill, 5th gear, low speed trick and it grabs fine. No slipping. This issue literally just started a couple of days ago, and the driving has been real minimal. Doesn't act up in the beginning of the day, either. Drove it to and from work today, and it was fine. Grabs low, like I said, but it didn't lock me out of gears or anything.

If the clutch wasnt adjusted properly the pressure plate will fail.an adjustable quadrant/cable/firewall adjuster may help the prob... if its not to far gone

Plus, the clutch is only a couple months old...

when it heats up the fingers on the pressure plate become weaker

I really dont know if this is you prob but ive seen it alot over the years

John's assessment sounds about right to me.....but he's the tech, so it must be exactly whats wrong with it. I'm not even a decent parts changer. LOL

But like I said, change it to a carb. That'll fix it for sure.

Appreciate the suggestions everyone, even with the joking in between. Cable/quad/FWA will be put in soon, and hopefully the problem will be solved. If not, I'll be a very angry car owner. Probably end up selling the car.
